Horseshoe General Rules

• No Floating Baits allowed or surface fishing

• Ground Bait may be used in feeders and mixed with pellets.  No balling in groundbait by hand – Pellets loose or pinched acceptable.

• 1 rod at a time only on all Match/Pleasure lakes

• All landing nets, slings and cradles must be dipped before you start fishing, even if you fished the day before re-dipping is a MUST. No Exceptions.

• No bite alarms allowed

• No boilies bigger than 10mm

• Barbless Hooks Only Max size 10, hook checks will be carried out anyone having a barbed hook will be asked to leave.

• No Tiger Nuts or meat of any form

• No Keep nets Allowed whilst pleasure fishing unless organised with onsite management as a match.

• Unhooking Mats must be used when handling fish unless match fishing style where unhooking in a landing net is allowed.

• Make sure Pictures are taken quickly-Anglers must kneel whilst holding the fish over an unhooking mat or cradle, unless in a net on the anglers lap.

• Children under 16 must be supervised by 18+Adult

• Please take all cans, bottles and litter home.

Horseshoe Match Rules

1) All nets must be dipped. Net dip is outside the tackle shop, all nets must then be placed on the bank to dry as soon as you get to your peg, nets can only then be placed into the water 10 minutes before the match starts, we check every match every morning, if one person is found not to have followed these rules, the whole club will be asked to leave.
2) Net limits: Maximum 50lb per net; 50lb 1oz to 59lb 15oz in one net, knocked back to 50lb; 60lb-plus in one net, net is disqualified.
3) Mugging/dobbing: No standing up. Your bait and rig must land simultaneously on passing fish.
4) Shallow fishing: Minimum 12 inches of line from hook to float. No limit on lash (pole tip to float). No surface fishing or floating baits.
5) If the next peg is occupied, you can fish up to half way to the next peg. If the next peg is unoccupied, you can fish up to the near edge
of the next-peg platform. Same applies to the casting posts on Phoenix.
6) You must not cast beyond half way across the lake if there are anglers fishing both banks.
7) Barbless hooks only, size 10 maximum. No braid.
8) Maximum boilie size 10mm. No limit on pellet size.
9) No balling in of groundbait by hand. Groundbait may be cupped in and used in feeders.
10) All forms of meat is banned, this includes seafood.
11) No gardening is permitted, anything rooted is not to be touched, floating reed’s, debris can be removed by a keepnet 10 minutes before a match starts, if anything is rooted, and causing an obstruction, call the tackle shop, and they will come to deem if this should be removed by staff only. 
11) Take all litter home.
12) Failure to comply with the rules will result in a fishery ban.
