Home Lake Rules

• Barbless Hooks only – Largest size 6 – Smallest size 10.
• All wet gear to be dipped using our dip tank outside our tackle shop, and left to dry for 30 minutes on the bank before entering the water.
• Cradle or big sided mats only to be used. The cradle or mat must be soaked with fresh lake water (not old warm water) prior to getting the fish from the lake, to the cradle/mat. Wet the unhooking mat, weigh sling and your hands as this will prevent the removal of the fish’s protective slime. Wetting the unhooking mat on a hot day is more vital as it will be hot to touch and can harm the fish.
  
• You must never stand up whilst holding a fish or when taking photos or returning a fish to the water. Always keep the fish as low to the ground as possible, (below knee height) and either above a padded unhooking cradle / mat for photos or in a weigh sling when returning the fish.
• When transferring a fish to the unhooking mat, remove the net handle, break the net down and roll the sides of the net down to just above the fish.
• You must make sure the fish is upright and can swim of in a natural way when releasing back to the water, i.e let the fish recover in the weigh sling in the water for as long as it takes. 
• All anglers must have carp care treatment to treat hook holds, damaged scales, mouths etc…
• Rig checks will be made by our onsite staff.
• No surface fishing.
• Abuse to staff or other anglers will not be permitted.
• Landing Net minimum size of 42″
• No Braided Mainline to be used, Braid on spod/marker rods are fine – No Leadcore & No Fixed Leads, all leads must be able to be fully dropped if snagged, or a crack off occurs.
  All Mainline to be 12lb +.
• Tubing or SafeZone Leaders must be used, no naked lines.
• All spombs/spod’s must have a spomb float, these can be purchased in the tackle shop onsite if you do not have these.
• Any crack off’s, or snagged fish must be reported to the tackle shop right away.
• Must have a bucket of fresh lake water to keep fish moist whilst in the cradle or sided mat, this needs to be fresh water once a fish has been caught, not warm water that has been sitting in the bucket for hours.
• All fish to be returned as quickly as possible – No sacking fish Overnight.
• Bait Boats and fish finders are not allowed on this lake.
• No transferring of fish between waters – no fish to be taken away or killed, ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED TO THE WATER AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
• No Tiger Nuts to be used. All other particles to be properly prepared.
• Under 16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult. No under 16’s to be wondering around the fishery with an adult.
• No walking further than the next swim whilst rods are left in the water.
• No parking on the grass, all vehicles to be parked in designated car parks only.
• Appropriate E.A. Rod licence required. 
• Dogs welcome as long as they are kept under control, and mess is cleaned up.
• Guests are welcome, a maximum of 2 at a time
• Please respect other anglers on the water and leave swims tidy and litter-free. Please take all litter and rubbish home with you.
• Alcohol is permitted but in sensible amounts. Anglers found drunk will be asked to leave.
• No loud music.
• Fishing is permitted with 2 rods.
• No Float Fishing or Pellet waggler.

• Minimum Test Curve Rods 2.5lb or higher (Dedicated Carp Rods Only)
  

• All bookings are final, no refunds can be offered for pre booked swims, please make sure you can make the booked slots.

Disabled Anglers

Swims Lowered so not all suitable for disabled Anglers. Parking is close by but not directly behind all of the swims.
